What you can send me

All work is English into Hungarian, in your CAT tool or mine, with your glossary and style guide followed to the letter.

TRA

Translation

EN→HU translation of websites, apps, UI, help centres, articles and legal or product documentation, with terminology kept consistent across every string.

TCR

Transcreation

Campaign lines, slogans and brand copy rewritten so they work on a Hungarian audience, delivered with back-translation and a note on each choice.

REV

Review & proofreading

A second linguist's check of existing Hungarian translations for accuracy, terminology, tone and typos, with tracked changes and comments.

LQA

Linguistic QA

In-context testing of your app, website or interface in Hungarian: every issue logged, categorised and scored, with a fix proposed for each.

MTP

MTPE

Post-editing of machine translation to full human quality, or to a lighter agreed level when speed and budget matter more than polish.

SUB

Subtitling

Hungarian subtitles for marketing and training video: translation, timing and reading-speed limits, delivered in the subtitle format you use.

Hungarian site audit

A review of your existing Hungarian site for marketing impact, user-friendliness and language quality, with a prioritised list of what to fix and why.

Brands whose Hungarian content I have worked on, directly or as a subcontractor through agencies including Lionbridge, Welocalize, Jonckers and Skrivanek.

Fields

Four fields, each with its own vocabulary

I take on subjects I know well enough to write in myself, which is why the Hungarian reads like it was written in Hungarian rather than translated into it.

Crypto & Web3

Website pages, articles, UI, mobile app and marketing content for Binance and ByBit. On Binance I work as lead reviewer as well as translator.

Marketing & brand

Marketing content for Nike — translation, subtitling and transcreation — through Lionbridge, and brand and campaign content for clients including WizzAir, Apple and FedEx through Welocalize.

Digital finance

Fintech and digital-finance content, the field I have specialised in alongside crypto, plus EU material translated through Skrivanek.

Corporate & tech

Microsoft Xbox and Microsoft Learn content through Jonckers, with regular MTPE; HP PC, entertainment, enterprise, gaming and printer content through Skrivanek; and Google device content — phones and watches — plus app content, as a subcontractor.

About

A linguist who is also a user of what he translates

Languages were a passion long before they were a profession, which is how I ended up translating, interpreting and writing for a living rather than doing anything else. Since 2015 I have worked on Hungarian content for global fintech, crypto and technology brands, as a translator and, on Binance, as lead reviewer.

Being an active crypto user myself is a large part of why that work holds up: I use the products I translate. My work is deliberate and thoroughly checked, and I would rather ask you one more question than guess.

How it works

From your files to delivery

The same five steps on every job, whatever its size, so you always know where it stands.

  1. Brief

You send the files or word count, the deadline, the audience and any glossary or style guide.

  2. Quote

A fixed price and delivery date, the same day and within 24 hours at the latest.

  3. Translate

Translation with terminology research, and questions raised with you as they come up rather than after delivery.

  4. Check

A full self-review against the source, plus automated checks on numbers, tags and terminology.

  5. Deliver

Final files and updated memory, with one round of follow-up edits included at no extra cost.

Samples & references

Available on request, case by case

Nearly all of my work is covered by non-disclosure agreements and client confidentiality, so I do not publish samples or client documents here.

If you are considering working with me, ask and I will share what I am permitted to share for your specific enquiry: a short unpublished test, publicly available material I worked on, or an anonymised extract. The same applies to references and testimonials, which are sensitive client information I release individually and only with permission.

A paid test translation of your own content is usually the fastest way to judge the quality.

Rates

Quoted per project

Every job is quoted individually, based on the content, the volume, the format and the turnaround. Send me the details and you will have a fixed price the same day.
